For several years, Dottie Gillespie Pennepacker was the inspired and devoted volunteer who spearheaded the annual Trash and Treasure sale for the benefit of Trezevant’s Foundation. After her death and at the completion of Trezevant Place, it was decided to have a year-round resale store. Dottie’s Digs is her eponymous memorial which has surpassed all expectations in its success. Dottie’sDigs is open to the public on the first and third Thursdays of the month, Dottie’s Digs offers gently worn clothing, accessories, furniture, small electronics, jewelry, picture frames, and much, much more. While the regular shoppers are very grateful for its presence, it has been a lifesaver for those moving and needing to downsize.

Dottie’s Digs takes donations from the public as well as from residents living at Trezevant. If you would like to donate to Dottie’s Digs, please call Julie  Hoyman at (901) 334-4803 or email her at jhoyman@trezevantmanor.org.

Thank you.

Trezevant is home in every sense of the word to over 450 people living within the Trezevant campus, either independently, with assistance, or with skilled nursing care.

Since its inception more than forty years ago, Trezevant has faithfully lived out its commitment to provide lifetime security and excellent care for each resident.  The Trezevant Foundation was created in 1980 and chartered as a separate not-for-profit entity to support the above Trezevant commitment.

The Trezevant Foundation provides support to residents, staff, and area non-profits in Memphis, Tennessee. Residents who can no longer meet the financial requirements are supported by foundation donations. Money from the Scholarship Fund through the foundation supports employees/staff to further their education. The Trezevant Foundation is used to enhance the function and activities of the Trezevant community that includes both independent and assisted living facilities.

The Trezevant Foundation also receives gifts designated to funding employee education scholarships, the library, chapel, and non-budgeted improvements and enhancements to the Trezevant campus.  Each resident that lives on campus at Trezevant has been given a personal emergency pendant courtesy of the Trezevant Foundation.

To achieve these goals, the Trezevant Foundation depends on continuing financial support from residents, their families, and friends of Trezevant. Trezevant is a loving and closely-knit community where all share a responsibility for ensuring that all residents can confidently live out their quality-of-life dream.

In a continuing effort to publicly recognize and honor those friends and supporters who have remembered the Trezevant Foundation through planned giving or estate-related gifts, the Board of Trustees has established the E. H. Little Legacy Society. Membership is extended to those who include the Trezevant Foundation as a beneficiary in a will or codicil, fund a life income contract such as a charitable gift annuity or any other estate planning trust, name the Foundation as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, or make a planned gift. A celebration is held annually to honor the E. H. Little Legacy Society members. Trezevant Foundation is grateful to all members of the E.H. Little Society for leaving such a legacy.
